Overview

Key Account Manager role at Wabtec Corporation. This position reports to the Vice President Sales - ANZ Region and is located in Perth CBD with frequent travel to client sites and other Wabtec offices.

Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and grow a robust sales pipeline and consistently surpass order and revenue targets for assigned key accounts
  • Implement a unified Wabtec strategy for the accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned key accounts across all Wabtec Business units
  • Develop marketing, sales and strategic business plans and deliver assigned annual orders, revenue, and Wabtec strategic objectives
  • Integrate Wabtec support functions into the customer engagement strategy to enhance customer experience and ensure compliance with policies
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key accounts across departments
  • Understand the One Wabtec portfolio and identify new business opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance, provide progress reports and forecasts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for a cohesive One Wabtec approach
  • Address and resolve client concerns with various Wabtec units
  • Maintain understanding of industry trends and client needs to position Wabtec for growth
  • Ensure client satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities
  • Collaborate with product management to tailor offerings for key accounts
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to optimize offerings and customer experience
  • Comply with Wabtec Business Conduct Guidelines
  • Complete all assigned education/training modules
QualificationsYou must have
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as STEM, Business, Commerce or equivalent
  • 10+ years' experience working in the Rail industry
  • Proven experience in commercial roles including product management or direct selling, with a successful growth track record and margin retention
  • Railroad products, services, industry knowledge and technical depth; ability to adapt to changing business conditions
  • Competitive drive, courage, determination and passion
  • Communication, influence and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to learn, share, grow and seek commercial excellence
You would love it if you have
  • Expertise in establishing value/price offers with differentiated products and services; knowledge of market segmentation and analysis to understand customer buying behavior
  • Ability to navigate a matrix-based organization with multiple reporting lines, offshore and onshore
  • Background in Rail Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM)
