Overview

Centre Cook - Mayfield Early Education Allenstown. We are hiring a part-time Cook to join Mayfield Early Education - Allenstown to provide wholesome, delicious, and nutritious meals for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. This role supports healthy growth and development through quality meals in a supportive early learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • 40 hours per fortnight (approximately 30 hours over 5 days per week with flexibility in timing).
  • Prepare tasty, nutritious meals that cater to the dietary needs of growing children.
  • Contribute to fostering healthy eating habits from a young age.
  • Collaborate in a warm Early Learning centre where teamwork, creativity, and care are valued.
  • Use fresh ingredients to ensure high-quality meals for our children.
  • Engage in a vibrant, dynamic workplace with opportunities for creativity.
Qualifications
  • Passion for creating delicious, nutritious meals suitable for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
  • Experience in meal planning, preparation, and kitchen management, including developing a rotating menu.
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions and allergies.
  • Availability from Monday to Friday.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to interact with staff, families, and children.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Valid Blue Card.
  • Food Handling certificate.
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate preferred.
  • First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma certification (or willingness to obtain).
