About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to live independently and safely in their own homes.

You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in your community by providing personal care, domestic support, social and community engagement, life skills and independence, medication and transport assistance, and respite and mental health support.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene needs
  • Domestic Support: Provide cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintain a safe home environment
  • Social & Community Engagement: Accompany clients on outings, appointments, and engage in activities that promote social interaction
  • Life Skills & Independence: Support clients with shopping, cooking, and daily living tasks
  • Medication & Transport Assistance: Assist with medication administration and transport clients as required
  • Respite & Mental Health Support: Provide temporary care and behavioural support as needed
Requirements
  • QLD C/CA Driver's Licence + reliable vehicle
  • Compassionate and client-centred approach
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support or equivalent
  • 12+ months of industry experience
  • Experience in personal care, manual handling, and behavioural support
