Overview

Imagine Childcare and Preschool Blueridge Park is a 125 place premium early learning centre located in Dubbo, New South Wales. We are seeking an experienced cook who is passionate about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for children in our purpose-built and fully equipped kitchen. This is a permanent part-time role with 37.5 hours a week, working Monday to Friday between 6.30am and 2.30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook and present a wide variety of nutritious foods on time that are suitable for children aged 4 months to 6 years for breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, including the preparation of purees and special dietary and cultural meals.
  • Engage in menu planning in accordance with the centre\'s nutrition policy and guidelines, including catering for children with allergy, intolerance and religious requirements.
  • Work in line with budgets and local suppliers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen in accordance with Food and Council Authority requirements.
  • Be reliable, positive and well-organised with excellent time management skills and confidence in managing a kitchen.
  • Provide a barista service to families (on-the-job training will be provided if necessary).
  • Enjoy working with families, colleagues and children.
A little about you
  • Full work rights in Australia.
  • Previous experience as a chef in an educational (school or early childhood) or aged care setting is highly regarded.
  • Current WWCC or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work autonomously and maintain a strong Work Health and Safety focus.
  • A flexible approach and attitude with excellent communication skills.
