Overview

Van der Meer Consulting is a Structural and Civil Consulting Engineering group with offices in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney. Our expanding company is currently seeking a suitably qualified Senior Civil Designer for our St Leonards office.

Education & Experience
  • Technical or Associate degree in Drafting or Civil Engineering preferred, or equivalent relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience gained within a consultancy environment
  • Experience with Civil 3D and/ or 12D design software
  • Demonstrated experience in civil design/drafting of relevant projects
  • Competent in the use and knowledge of: 12D, AutoCAD, Drains, Vehicle Tracking, Microsoft Office, Australian Standards, Local Government Design Manuals, Local State streets or training to achieve competence
Skills & Personal Attributes
  • Understanding of relevant Australian standards, State and local Government policies and guidelines
  • Knowledge and application of Civil engineering codes, construction standards, specs, procedures and construction techniques
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must demonstrate initiative and be a team player
