We are a global consultancy with a diverse range of skills and depth of expertise across industries, markets and geographies. Our partnerships with our clients are what matters to us the most.

We're proud to have the flexibility to deliver large scale multi-disciplinary projects through to small, single discipline projects, and everything in between. Our nimble business approach is enabled through governance and processes that have empowerment of our staff at the core. We manage risk pragmatically, relying on the expertise of our skilled staff. This approach enables our staff to work on a broad range of technically interesting and challenging projects, including legal and expert witness work.

Our Team and Role

Our APAC Hydrology and Hydrogeology Team is a 50+ person Hydrogeology and Hydrology (H&H) Technical Discipline. This role is for a lead of our national Groundwater Modelling team, a virtual team of 11 people across Brisbane, Melbourne and Wollongong offices delivering and growing our Groundwater Modelling Practice. As a virtual team this role can be based at any of SLR's offices. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our state-based groundwater and surface water team leaders to deliver solutions for our clients. We have a solid backlog and pipeline of work thanks to our focus on technical excellence, practical solutions and strong client relationships. We are a proud and active sponsor of the International Association of Hydrogeologists and focused on investing in industry best practice for the benefit of both clients and staff. We work in a collaborative environment across our H&H teams in Brisbane, Townsville, Newcastle, Wollongong, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and closely with other SLR environmental specialists. The group delivers projects across SLR's market sectors including mining & minerals, built environment, infrastructure, industry and power. Our 2025 project focus includes resource projects for a variety of commodities, expanding our portfolio in infrastructure and energy (renewables), and leveraging our status as SLR's Global Centre of Excellence to do more overseas work.

We are looking for a groundwater leader with excellent team coordination and management skills, and the ability to motivate staff and develop their careers. You will have excellent client relationships and strong commercial acumen. Technical excellence will be your core value and you will thrive in a dynamic consulting environment.
