As the Team Leader you'll use your leadership skills to build team culture and support your dedicated team to care for people who have experienced sexual abuse, adults affected by domestic and family violence (DFV); and children under 10 years of age (and their families) presenting with problematic and/or harmful sexualised behaviours.

You'll lead the ISLHD Domestic Family Violence and Sexual Assault Service (DFVSAS) working on the lands of Dharawal and Yuin nations.

We're looking for a Clinical Psychologist, Senior Psychologist, Social Worker who: Has a degree in social work or psychology and full AHPRA registration or eligible for AASW Membership. Has extensive direct clinical experience (post graduate Social Work / Psychology) conducting psychosocial assessments, therapeutic counselling, risk assessment and safety planning, advocacy, psychoeducation, report writing, group work and court support with people who have experienced trauma, namely sexual assault and/or family and domestic violence. Can provide clinical and line management oversight and guidance to DFVSAS Counsellors in the provision of timely, effective and high quality therapeutic services.

The Team Leader will also hold a small clinical caseload. This position will lead a team of counsellors, providing assessments, crisis and ongoing counselling to adults who have experienced domestic violence, and children and adults who have experienced sexual assault.

Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven's major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
