Business Development Manager - EV Charging and Energy Management

We're looking for a driven and result-oriented Business Development Manager that will be based in Sydney or NSW.

In this role, you will be instrumental in propelling our company's rapid and sustainable growth by building and nurturing customer relationships within your region. Your mission will be to actively prospect and engage with potential clients, introduce them to our smart EV Charging solutions, and drive new business opportunities.

As a key player in shaping our market presence, you will negotiate impactful deals and ensure that our clients receive exceptional service and support. Your contributions will directly contribute to our market expansion and success in the EV Charging sector.

Responsibilities

  • You engage directly with potential clients, understanding their needs and addressing their concerns.
  • Cold calling comes naturally to you, and you see it as an essential part of connecting with new prospects.
  • You analyse the costs and benefits of potential customers to help guide our strategic decisions. Your organizational skills will help you build and maintain a well-structured lead database, ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks.
  • You're driven by results, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets within set deadlines.
  • You stay informed about industry trends and market shifts.
  • Competitive activity is second nature to you, ensuring your knowledge is always up to date.
Requirements
  • You have 5+ years of sales experience in a technical environment, with a proven track record in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • You have an established network among installers, such as electrical wholesalers, energy management companies, and specialized EV infrastructure providers.
  • Your selling, communication, and negotiation skills set you apart, enabling you to drive successful partnerships and close deals.
  • Perseverance is your middle name.
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment where you can work independently while contributing to the team's success.
  • Experience with CRM software is a plus.
  • You're entrepreneurial, proactive, and commercially minded, always seeking opportunities to innovate.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • You are based in Sydney or Melbourne as we are open to considering candidates from any of these major cities to ensure we find the best fit for the role.
