Overview

Business Development Manager - Wine - Newcastle. Our client is a premium Australian wine producer with vineyards in key wine regions. A motivated and results-driven Sales Representative is sought to drive growth across on- and off-premise channels in Newcastle, Central Coast and surrounds. The role focuses on delivering consistent and profitable sales growth through new business development, premium product mix management, and exceptional customer service. Collaborate with Trade Marketing and Key Account teams to activate promotional campaigns and increase brand awareness.

Responsibilities
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Identify and convert new on- and off-premise accounts to grow brand visibility
  • Develop and maintain a structured monthly call cycle, supported by CRM usage
  • Execute marketing initiatives and tailored activations in line with brand guidelines
  • Drive premium wine placement in key venues that can champion the brand
  • Meet commercial KPIs across volume, margin, and premium mix
  • Provide regular sales reporting, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence
  • Contribute to sales forecasting and strategic business planning
Qualifications
  • Passion for the drinks industry with a deep understanding of the liquor trade
  • Solutions-focused mindset and ability to identify growth opportunities
  • Proven ability to build partnerships and drive sales in on- and off-premise channels
  • Experience with CRM systems and a structured approach to territory management
