Are you passionate about amplifying the voice of consumers in health research and building stronger partnerships between communities, healthcare services and universities?
We're looking for a Consumer Engagement Officer to join our team and play a vital role in strengthening co-design and consumer involvement in research translation across our partnership.
Role
In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will lead and support a range of initiatives to increase consumer involvement in health research across our partnership, including:
Providing strategic advice and information on policies, procedures, and other aspects of consumer involvement in health research, developing, delivering and evaluating training workshops for health professionals, researchers and consumers
establishing, coordinating and supporting a Consumer Advisory Committee managing and expanding a register of consumers across the NSWRHP footprint and actively connecting consumers and research teams.

Occasional overnight travel may be required.

NSW Regional Health Partners (NSWRHP) is a partnership of six organisations accredited by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) as a Research Translation Centre (Regional, Rural and Remote).

- Previous experience working with consumers, ideally in a health or community services environment, and an understanding of the research ecosystem

An eligibility list will be created for future temporary part time vacancies.
To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
