The RoleAs our Disability Service Manager, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality services and lead a motivated team. Your leadership will ensure our services meet the highest standards and reflect Hope Ability's values and mission.
Main Duties·Oversee day-to-day operations supporting individuals with a range of disabilities, including complex mental health needs or justice backgrounds.
·Develop and implement individualised support plans with participants, families, and advocates.
·Ensure compliance with NDIS, Disability Services Act, and best-practice guidelines.
·Recruit, train, and support staff while fostering a culture of inclusion and continuous learning.
·Uphold the rights, dignity, and choices of all service users.
·Liaise with allied health professionals, agencies, and community partners to enhance support networks.
·Manage budgets and resources to sustain and grow our services.
·Monitor quality, evaluate outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
·Ensure all legislative, regulatory, and NDIS compliance is met, including policies and procedures.
·Handle referrals, risk assessments, and ensure progress reporting on NDIS goals.
·Oversee incident and restrictive practice reporting through appropriate channels.
·Attend stakeholder meetings and develop resources for staff and service users.
·Promote participant engagement in the community and the development of new programs.
·Meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators and contribute strategies for business growth.
About You·Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing (Mental Health), Disability, or a related field.
·Experience managing or leading teams in disability, mental health, or community services.
·Understanding of psychosocial and forensic disabilities and complex support needs.
·Commitment to person-centred and rights-based practices.
·Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
·Experience in NDIS service delivery (desirable).
·Skilled in community participation and remote service coordination.
·Experience with complex disabilities and behaviours of concern.
·Proactive, solution-focused attitude and sound business management knowledge.
