About Somerville Community Services
Somerville is a for-purpose, community-based organisation that has supported Territorians for over 50 years. We specialise in high-quality disability services that empower people to live the life they choose. As a registered NDIS provider, we deliver individualised support across the Northern Territory, with a focus on respectful, person-centred relationships that promote choice, dignity, and independence.
About the role
We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Manager to provide leadership across Somerville's disability accommodation services in the Palmerston region.
This is a pivotal senior role responsible for ensuring services are safe, high-quality, and person-centred, while also building the capability of our Independent Living Coordinators and frontline teams. Reporting to the General Manager, Disability Services, the Regional Manager drives workforce planning, compliance, and safeguarding, while embedding active support practices that deliver meaningful outcomes for participants.
If you're a confident leader with deep sector knowledge and a passion for empowering people with disability, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact in a complex and rewarding leadership role.
What you'll be doing
As Regional Manager, you will:
Provide strategic and operational oversight of SIL services across your region, ensuring safe, person-centred support and positive outcomes for participants
Lead, supervise, and support Independent Living Coordinators to build capability, accountability, and effective management of houses and teams
Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, safeguarding requirements, and organisational policies, including oversight of incidents, complaints, and restrictive practices
Oversee workforce planning and rostering to ensure sustainable staffing models that meet participant needs and align with NDIS funding
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with participants, families, guardians, NDIA representatives, health professionals, and regulatory bodies
Monitor service performance, budgets, and KPIs, identifying risks and driving improvement strategies
Support participant transitions, new service establishment, and growth opportunities in collaboration with senior management
Represent Somerville at external forums and contribute to sector development and reform
What you'll bring
We're looking for a leader who is strategic, resilient, and committed to quality and safeguarding. You will have:
Extensive leadership experience in the disability sector, with strong knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality & Safeguarding Framework
Demonstrated success managing multi-site services, complex participant needs, and large frontline teams
Proven ability to build workforce capability through coaching, supervision, and accountability frameworks
Strong judgement, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex operational and participant-related matters
Sound financial management skills, including experience monitoring budgets and ensuring sustainable service delivery
Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with participants, families, staff, and sector stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including reports and representation at senior forums
In addition, experience embedding active support, positive behaviour support, and trauma-informed care within teams will be highly regarded.
You will also need (or have the ability to obtain):
NT Driver's Licence
National Criminal History Check
NT Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance)
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations
First Aid and CPR Certificate
Full Australian working rights
Please refer to the full position description for a complete list of essential and desirable criteria.
Why work with us

Here, your experience and perspective will be valued, and you'll work in partnership with an executive team that actively listens and respects the expertise of its leaders. We also offer:

NFP salary packaging options to increase your take-home pay
A home-garaged vehicle for business use
