Wholesale Account & Business Development Manager

NOTE: 3+ years Specialty Coffee experience is required for this role.

About the Role

We're looking for someone who can do more than manage accounts — someone who can nurture relationships, grow partnerships, and spot opportunities that align with Mecca Coffee's vision. This leadership role blends account management with business development: looking after our wholesale partners with care and integrity, while seeking out new cafés, restaurants and cultural venues that feel part of the Mecca Coffee community.

You'll balance numbers and nuance — keeping an eye on sales and margins while bringing genuine hospitality and passion for coffee to every interaction. No job is too small, and you thrive wearing multiple hats and breaking down silos: from onboarding and training, to troubleshooting equipment, to mapping out growth strategies and rolling up your sleeves. Coffee experience is a must.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, pitch, and secure new wholesale accounts that align with our brand and values.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of wholesale partners, ensuring they feel supported, inspired and proud to serve Mecca.
  • Lead onboarding, tastings, training and ongoing partner development.
  • Work closely with Marketing, E-commerce and Leadership to share insights, align on opportunities, and strengthen loyalty.
  • Track performance and provide reporting on sales, growth and retention.
  • Contribute to events, tastings and activations that bring value to our partners and wider community.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues (coffee, equipment, logistics) with a solutions mindset.
  • Stay hands-on and collaborative, supporting cross-functional projects when needed.

  • Mecca Coffee represented at its best in cafés, restaurants and cultural spaces.
  • Engage and work with all other departments across Mecca Coffee.
Candidate Profile
  • Commercially minded — confident working with sales reports, KPIs and growth strategies.

  • Grounded and humble — you inspire others by showing up and leading with integrity.
Must-Haves
  • 3+ years experience in specialty coffee.
  • Experience in account management, business development or customer success.
  • Strong commercial awareness and comfort working with numbers.
  • Track record of building and maintaining B2B relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Honest, clear communication and a collaborative spirit.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience leading training sessions, events, or tastings.
  • Knowledge of coffee equipment and operations.
