About The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to work in the Peri-operative environment within the Day Surgery Unit, admitting patients into Day Surgery. This front‑of‑house position is based at the front desk, where you will welcome and admit patients. The role is highly focused on patient interaction and experience, with a strong commitment to customer service.

What You'll Be Doing

The Peri-operative Services Administration Officer assists Medical and Nursing staff by carrying out clerical and reception duties to a high standard; maintains a professional manner, delivers high levels of customer service, and supports relevant ward/unit administrative systems.

Application Criteria:

  • Recent experience in a similar role and/or hospital experience; completion of medical terminology certificate (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including telephone manner and customer service.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work activities to achieve outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with initiative, adaptability and flexibility.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office and knowledge of Cerner (Powerchart and Surginet); ability to learn new systems.
