About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to work in the Peri-operative environment, specifically within the Day Surgery Unit, admitting patients into Day Surgery. This front-of-house position is based at the front desk, where you will play a key role in welcoming and admitting patients. We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to customer service, as this role is highly focused on patient interaction and experience.

  • Ability to work varied shifts between 6:30am and 8:00pm, Monday to Friday

What You'll be Doing

The Peri-operative Services Administration Officer is required to assist the Medical and Nursing staff by carrying out all clerical and reception duties associated with the position to a high standard; display a professional manner and high level of customer service and maintain relevant ward/unit administrative systems.

  • Recent experience working in a similar role and/or hospital experience and completion of medical terminology certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and organize work activities to achieve work outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully working independently and as a member of a team, demonstrating initiative, adaptability and flexibility.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy in MS Office and knowledge of Cerner (Powerchart and Surginet) and ability to learn new systems.
