We are opening a new chapter at Opera Bar Sydney and are seeking a people-first Human Resources Coordinator to join us on-site, full-time.

If you are organized, approachable, and enjoy engaging with people and processes, this role offers a balanced mix of HR operations and people engagement. Candidates should have 2+ years in a similar role (hospitality experience is a bonus) and familiarity with HRIS systems, preferably Tanda. You will play a vital role in supporting our team from the ground up.

About this role:

As our HR Coordinator at Opera Bar, you will be the primary contact for all People & Culture matters onsite, including:

  • Managing payroll and ensuring accuracy across rosters and timesheets
  • Handling end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for venue roles
  • Supporting managers with HR processes and policies
  • Maintaining employee records and compliance documentation
  • Coordinating training, development, and retention initiatives
  • Assisting with visa processes and documentation as needed
  • Driving employee engagement and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture
  • Supporting staff events, celebrations, and recognition programs
