About The Role

National Intermodal is seeking a Senior Development Manager - Precinct to join our Sydney CBD office. Reporting to the General Manager, New Terminals, you will be accountable for leading integration planning, design, and delivery planning for the Beveridge Intermodal Precinct, leveraging technical-commercial expertise to maximise value between large-scale industrial land development and the intermodal rail terminal. This role provides strategic oversight, technical leadership, and stakeholder coordination to ensure seamless integration between industrial and rail infrastructure through definition, planning, delivery, and construction phases, supporting efficient freight movement and long-term economic growth.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading end-to-end integration and development of industrial land projects from feasibility to delivery, creating strategies for intermodal rail terminal integration and contributing to planning, definition, and construction approaches.
  • Overseeing master planning, zoning, and infrastructure design to improve land use and logistics efficiency.
  • Driving collaboration between National Intermodal Terminal Company and Land Development JV, representing Delivery Function, and engaging agencies, rail operators, and developers to align regulatory, operational, and commercial goals.
  • Representing the organization in public forums, industry panels, and negotiations.
  • Providing input and coordinating with Terminal Project Management team on engineering, environmental, and transport planning deliverables for integration and requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with planning regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols, reviewing site layouts, access roads, and rail interface designs.
  • Preparing budget inputs, forecasts, and financial models, supporting land acquisition, leasing, and negotiations, and contributing to funding and business case development.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks, including environmental, operational, and stakeholder issues, ensuring legal, regulatory, and sustainability compliance.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, urban planning, logistics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the development and delivery of large scale infrastructure and/or transport logistics projects.
  • Proven track record in managing complex, multi-stakeholder infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of intermodal freight systems and rail terminal operations.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with government and regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in development and delivery of infrastructure engineering and construction.
  • Familiarity with GIS, CAD, and project management software.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
