Base pay range

Project Manager – Electrical | Warehouse Automation & Conveyor Systems

An established international provider of intralogistics and automation systems is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver electrical and controls-based conveyor projects across warehousing and industrial facilities. Based in Melbourne, this role combines on-site coordination with full project delivery responsibilities.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role overseeing end-to-end project delivery, from planning, procurement, and client liaison through to installation, commissioning, and final handover. You'll lead the coordination of electrical installation teams, manage subcontractors and OEMs, and ensure quality outcomes across safety, timeline, and technical performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full project lifecycle for automated conveyor and materials handling systems
• Oversee electrical installation and commissioning works on client sites across VIC and interstate
• Coordinate with internal design, controls, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Manage subcontractors, site safety, and compliance requirements
• Track project budgets, timelines, and documentation
• Maintain strong client communication and reporting throughout delivery

About You

• Proven experience delivering electrical projects in automation, conveyors, or capital equipment
• Strong understanding of electrical and controls systems used in intralogistics or warehousing environments
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, layouts, and site plans
• Confident managing site-based installation teams and subcontractors
• Practical knowledge of OH&S, SWMS, and site compliance processes
• Trade or tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required
• Current driver's licence and full Australian working rights
