About the Role

The Reinsurance Manager will work in a team delivering significant value for schemes through its responsibility for Investments, Reinsurance and Capital Management. The Reinsurance Manager will be able to effortlessly and flexibly collaborate to perform key responsibilities and deliver outcomes.

Responsibilities

It's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Reinsurance Manager you will:

• Develop, implementand manage the annual reinsurance renewal including strategies, process, marketing and engagement withinternal stakeholders, and external partners, the Reinsurance Service Provider (RSP) and re/insurers.
• Be responsible for the optimisation of the reinsurance asset through management of claims recoveries, commutations and counterparty risk.
• Evaluate business operations, service delivery and stakeholders need to develop and implement enhancements.
• Provide input into papers/briefs for the Group Executive, Finance, ALCO (Asset and Liability Committee) and Board and/or Risk Committee (BRC) as required.
• Act as a role model for icare values and business line charter.

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Extensive experience (10 years +) in insurance or reinsurance operations across key functions.
• Ability to understand insurance-based language for insurance and reinsurance arrangements.
• Demonstrated effective collaboration skills across all stakeholders within teams, across teams and with external partners.
• Knowledge of reinsurance underwriting and/or claims management that is relevant to the TMF.
