Details: ACT Treasury, a stream of the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate, is seeking to fill one or more positions of Deputy Under Treasurer (DUT).

The DUT role reports to the Under Treasurer and works collaboratively with other Executives across the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) and with stakeholders inside and outside of government.

The role includes leadership and high-level advice to the government in one or more of the following business streams covering policy related to budget, the economy, revenue, financial systems within government, procurement, housing policy, investments and borrowing and insurance matters. The successful applicant/s will have strong policy and numerical skills, an impressive track record of executive leadership and excellent communication skills.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Appropriate tertiary qualifications, or experience in commerce, economics, law or a related field combined with strong policy and numeracy skills.

Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $429,926 - $445,191 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $381,630.

Contract: There are one or more expected vacancies, and the successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
