About The Opportunity

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) (www.hcma.com.au) is a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the construction and mining industries.

HCA is currently seeking a Trades Assistant to assist Fitters in the day-to-day running of the Muswellbrook Reman Facility.

Reporting to the Reman Centre Supervisor you will be responsible for:

  • Assist in store control involving receiving and dispatch of Reman items
  • Cleaning and repairing of Reman components as per procedures
  • Disassembling components in line with procedures when required
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy when carrying out final QA inspections and packaging units ready for dispatch
  • Forklift operating
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment

To be successful in this role:

  • You must have a safety focus and abide by site safety processes
  • You must be mechanically minded with a willingness to learn
  • Have an understanding of Mining, Earthmoving and/or Construction equipment
  • Have the ability to recognise basic product quality deviations/faults
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when required
  • Forklift License and Spray-painting experience will be advantageous
