• Oversee daily trade clearing workflows – from pre‑matching, confirmation, MTM, margin calls to fund/stock settlement and fails resolution.
• Ensure accurate and timely generation of margin deficit files, pay‑in/pay‑out obligations, and Bhav/obligation reports
• Lead a team (~10–15 members), including recruitment, mentoring, performance appraisals, and cross‑training.
• Maintain strong supervisory controls, manage escalations, and track KPIs/SLAs for error rates and processing timelines .
• Process & Risk Management
• Identify process breakdowns; implement re‑engineered workflows to enhance STP rates and settlement efficiency .
• Strengthen control frameworks, monitor operational risks, and ensure audit-readiness and compliance with SEBI and exchange regulations.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Serve as the central point for trade-related escalations, liaising with front office, trading teams, exchanges, banks, and clearing members
• Manage exchange communications for circulars, trade files, and regulatory updates
• Strategic Initiatives & Automation
• Drive strategic projects for operational efficiency, technology upgrades, and change initiatives ("Run the Bank / Change the Bank")
• Promote automation and data-driven decision-making, focusing on workflow improvements and MIS reporting.
• Monitor collateral like BGs, FDs, ensure MTM margin calculations, margin deficit filings, and timely communication to members and banks
• Administer collateral safekeeping, bank guarantee uploads, and quarterly verification audits .

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's—or preferably MBA/CA/Commerce/Finance degree.
• Experience: 12+ years in share broking/clearing or banking operations, with 5+ years managing teams.
• Proven track record in clearing/settlement and middle/back office operations.
• Strong understanding of SEBI, NSE, BSE, CDSL/NSDL regulations and circulars.
• Proficient in tools like Shilpi or other stock-broking back-end systems; advanced MS Excel knowledge.
• Certifications (e.g., NISM Depository Operations) are a plus.
