Job Description
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for all employees (fortnightly).
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and organisational policies.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including leave and superannuation contributions.
- Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliation tasks as required.
- Respond to payroll-related enquiries from staff and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within payroll operations.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
- 3-5 years experience in Australian payroll processing within a professional setting.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including superannuation and taxation.
- Attention to detail and high-level accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle queries effectively.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Open to working a Thursday, Friday and Monday week (a must).
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
