Job Overview:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our organisation as a Part-time Payroll Officer. You will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and in a timely manner for all employees, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and organisational policies.

  • Maintain and update payroll records, including leave and superannuation contributions.
  • Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliation tasks as required.
  • Respond to payroll-related enquiries from staff and resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities:

As a successful candidate, you will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and organisational policies.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including leave and superannuation contributions.
  • Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliation tasks as required.
  • Resolve payroll-related issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Australian payroll processing within a professional setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including superannuation and taxation.
  • Attention to detail and high-level accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle queries effectively.
  • Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Open to working a Thursday, Friday, and Monday week.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
