Job Description

This role is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a payroll team in a not-for-profit organisation that prioritises community well-being.

We are seeking a skilled Part-time Payroll Officer who will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and in a timely manner for all employees (fortnightly).

The successful candidate will also ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and organisational policies, maintain and update payroll records, including leave and superannuation contributions.

Additionally, the officer will assist with payroll reporting and reconciliation tasks as required, respond to payroll-related enquiries from staff, and resolve issues promptly.

Collaboration with the Accounting & Finance team is essential to ensure seamless financial operations.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in Australian payroll processing within a professional setting.

A strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including superannuation and taxation, is also required.

Attention to detail and high-level accuracy in data entry and record-keeping are essential skills for this role.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle queries effectively are also necessary.

Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

The selected candidate must be willing to work a Thursday, Friday, and Monday week (a must) and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
