Overview

Management Accountant / Senior Financial Analyst role at Insurance House. We're looking for an experienced Management Accountant / Analyst to join our Melbourne finance team and deliver accurate, timely, and meaningful financial insights. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you'll take ownership of monthly reporting cycles, budgeting and forecasting, compliance obligations, and ad hoc analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Manage month-end and ongoing reporting, including variance analysis, Branch and Group P&Ls, Management Pack, Flash Reports, and trackers
  • Support the budgeting and reforecasting process, ensuring accurate cost centre allocations, client allocation checks, and budget conformity
  • Oversee compliance and transactional processes, including BAS lodgements, payroll support, payment times reporting, and quarterly commission calculations
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy through expense account tracking, invoice reviews, and project cost centre reconciliations
  • Drive improvements by establishing new reporting requirements (e.g. cost centre P&Ls, workflows) and providing data inputs into the Broker CRM system
  • Contribute to special processes and projects such as Portfolio/Broker Fee & Commission reallocations, the NRI process, and ad hoc reporting requests
About You

You're a well-rounded finance professional with experience in management accounting or financial analysis. With a strong foundation in reporting, variance analysis, and compliance, you're confident in your ability to deliver accurate outcomes under pressure. Attention to detail, ability to interpret financial data, and a proactive approach set you apart. You're comfortable working autonomously or in a team, and you're eager to build relationships across the business and drive continuous improvement. You're degree-qualified in accounting or finance, and CA/CPA qualified (or on the way).
