Emmanuel College is seeking an exceptional Marketing and Engagement Manager to join our amazing Community team from September 2025.

Emmanuel College is a co-educational, multi-denominational school with just over 1 600 students, valued by the Gold Coast community for our strong commitment to achieving educational excellence within a framework of thoughtful, intelligent and vibrant Christian faith.

Located in the suburb of Carrara on the Gold Coast, Australia; Emmanuel College is situated on a beautiful nine hectare campus, providing stunning state of the art facilities for our College curriculum, programs and community life.

Description:

The Marketing and Engagement Manager leads the strategic direction, development and execution of marketing, communications, alumni relations, and community engagement across Emmanuel College and Josiah College.

This leadership role is central to advancing the Colleges' mission and vision by telling meaningful stories, building brand trust, and strengthening engagement with current and future communities. The position requires a balance of creative insight, strategic thinking, operational leadership, and alignment with a Christ-centred educational ethos.

The role will work across Monday to Friday (full time), including school holidays.

Demonstrate how your personal faith and values align with the purpose and vision of Emmanuel College and Josiah College, and how this is reflected in your professional conduct and leadership approach.
  • Strategic Marketing and Communications Expertise Demonstrate your experience in developing and delivering integrated marketing and communications strategies, preferably in a school environment, that align with organisational goals and effectively reach diverse audiences.
  • Design Judgment and Brand Stewardship Provide examples of how you have created or overseen the development of marketing assets that reflect high-quality, contemporary design, aligned to brand guidelines and appropriate to a premium educational or service-based environment.
  • Digital Fluency and Data-Informed Practice Describe your experience using digital platforms (e.g. websites, social media, content systems) and data analytics to evaluate engagement, optimise campaigns, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Leadership and Team Development Outline your experience leading a team, including how you set expectations, empower staff, and foster a collaborative, high-performing work culture.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management Provide examples of how you have built trust and engaged effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including event coordination, alumni, or enrolment teams, in a fast-paced and service-oriented environment.

Successful applicants will:
  • Possess an ownership mindset regarding the customer (parent) experience, from first contact (pre-enrolment) through to graduation and beyond.
  • Demonstrate the ability to move between strategic vision and operational execution.
  • Possess high levels of personal resilience, initiative and professional presence.
  • Demonstrate confident in managing expectations and setting boundaries through professional and proactive communication.
  • Show strong alignment with Christian values and the ability to reflect these in messaging and conduct.
  • Be highly-skilled with social media, online content management and associated platforms/technology commonly used throughout the College.
  • Have the ability to communicate with influence - strong interpersonal skills as demonstrated by experience in liaising and negotiating with a variety of staff, clients and representatives from other organisations in a professional and client-focused manner.
  • Demonstrate high-level graphic design capabilities with an eye for professional design and detail.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of developing, implementing, evaluating marketing and communication strategies, conducting promotional campaigns and managing marketing budgets.
  • Have a proven ability to lead, set clear expectations, and effectively manage the performance, output and development of direct reports.
