Overview

Trainee Community Workers (Aged Care) – Waratah. Join to apply for the Trainee Community Workers (Aged Care) – Waratah role at Bendigo Advertiser.

Responsibilities
  • Support aged care clients who are living in the community.
  • On-the-job training provided; train on the job and complete studies while being paid.
  • Provide on-the-job training, with regular clients and hours.
  • Flexible days/hours, as long as availability is between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
  • If you don\'t have experience, on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Minimum 15 hours a week, up to 30+ hours a week.
  • Assist with domestic tasks, shopping trips, personal care (dressing, showering, grooming, etc), meal preparation, transportation, accompanying to medical appointments, social activities, and respite.
  • Visit clients in their homes and support them with services as part of community care.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Have a great attitude; be reliable; willing to learn and work.
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check (we will arrange this for you).
  • Ability to pass a Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (WVPC).
  • Have a current NSW driver\'s licence and a reliable, registered vehicle (full comprehensive insurance).
  • Have regular availability; be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or a Permanent resident, allowing access to State Funding for the program.
  • No experience is required; we will train you in Certificate III in Individual Support, and you will be paid to attend buddy shifts, regular shifts, and training days.
  • Shifts are available Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Employment details
  • Permanent part-time roles may be available.
  • The hourly rate starts from $24.65+ per hour (part-time).

Our client is a well-established home and community care organisation seeking new team members to join their local team in the region. No experience is required; training is provided for the Certificate III in Individual Support.
