Overview

We are seeking trainees to join the Aged Care team in Lakelands. This is a part-time trainee position with a 24-month traineeship contract. You will work and study for 12 - 15 months to gain a Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33021). The role is part-time (15 hours per week) with the possibility to work up to 35 hours per week. You will be paid to attend training days and will receive on-the-job training and mentoring. After qualification (12 - 15 months), you may be moved to a qualified role. You will be partnered with a workplace buddy/mentor and supported by the Facility Leadership Team, Learning and Development Team, RTO, and Ternary throughout your traineeship. We are seeking those with a passion for caring for the elderly who want to start their career with a caring, supportive, and progressive company.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the elderly in a residential aged care setting with daily lifestyle activities.
  • Personal care (showering, dressing, grooming).
  • Bed making and room tidying.
  • Feeding and meal setup.
  • Social activities and supporting residents with engagement.
  • Listening, building rapport, and working with residents and staff.

  • Hourly rate starts from $29.4626 per hour (part-time, trainee).

  • Regular availability to work AM shift 7:00am - 3:00pm, PM 3:00pm - 10:00pm, and attend training 9:00am - 4:30pm
