Overview

Trainee Aged Care Worker - Eleebana role at Bendigo Advertiser. No experience or qualifications are required. Hourly rate starts from $30.49210 per hour (part-time, trainee). Step into a fully supported employment and training position, where you will work and study for 12 months to gain your qualification (Certificate III in Individual Support - CHC33021). Great working conditions. Work with our established team in Eleebana. Learn on the job and be paid to attend training days. Shifts available Monday to Sunday.



Responsibilities
  • Assist the elderly in a Residential Aged Care setting with daily lifestyle and activities, under supervision.
  • Learn on the job and be paid to attend training days.
  • Work with a team of established staff; provide care and support to residents\' daily routines.
  • On-the-job training to achieve Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33021).


Qualifications and requirements
  • No experience or qualifications are required to begin training.
  • Must be able to pass a National Police Check (we will arrange this for you).
  • Must have valid working rights in Australia and reside in Australia.
  • To access State Funding for the training, must be a Permanent Resident or Citizen.
  • Availability for AM shift 6:30am–2:30pm, PM shift 2:30pm–10:00pm, and training 9:30am–4:30pm.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 3 days a week, Monday to Sunday.


Contract and progression
  • Part-time traineeship with a minimum guaranteed 15 hours per week, up to 35 hours.
  • Set 24-month traineeship contract with shifts locked in at recruitment; after 12–15 months, move to a qualified rate.
  • You will be partnered with a workplace Buddy/Mentor and receive support from Facility Leadership Team, Learning and Development Team, Registered Training Organisation, and Ternary throughout the traineeship.
  • These positions aim to move to ongoing employment.
