Overview

Trainee Community Workers (Aged Care) - Mayfield. Join to apply for the Trainee Community Workers (Aged Care) role at Bendigo Advertiser.

Responsibilities
  • Visit clients in their homes in the community and provide aged care support services which may include domestic assistance, meal preparation, shopping trips, personal care, transportation, attending medical appointments, social activities, and respite.
  • Support clients with socialisation and domestic tasks; progress to additional services as trained (e.g., personal care such as showering, dressing and grooming, catheter care, etc.).
  • Complete socialisation tasks and assist with daily living needs as you progress through training.
  • Receive on-the-job training and paid training days; work shifts with regular clients and hours.
  • Maintain flexibility with days/hours, with availability between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (minimum 15 hours per week, up to 30+ hours per week).
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Have a great attitude, be reliable, and willing to learn and work.
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check (we will obtain for you).
  • Ability to pass and obtain a Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (WVPC).
  • Current NSW driver\'s license and a reliable, registered vehicle with full comprehensive insurance.
  • Have regular availability and be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or a Permanent resident, with access to State Funding for the program.
  • No prior experience required; on-the-job training available and Certificate III in Individual Support can be pursued via the program.
Employment Details
  • Shifts are available Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  • The hourly rate starts from $24.65+ per hour (part-time).
  • Family-friendly hours; on-the-job training provided; regular clients and hours; permanent part-time roles available.
