Job Title: Junior Chef - Italian Cuisine

Location: Pickering

Job Type: Full-time / Hourly

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of Italian dishes, including but not limited to pizza, pasta, and salads, in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure overall cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with the head chef and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Uphold high standards of food presentation and plate garnishing.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling and storing food products.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably with a focus on Italian cuisine.
  • Proficiency in preparing Italian dishes such as pizza, pasta, and salads.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Culinary certifications or relevant work experience letters are a plus.
