A skilled wok chef is required to prepare food to exact specifications and standards while also setting up stations for the menu.
As a wok chef, you will take ownership of your section, guiding junior chefs and having a good understanding of all the sections in the kitchen, working under the direction of the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
- Maintain company standards of quality, service, presentation and cleanliness.
- Responsible for coaching and developing junior staff if directed by the Head Chef.
- Taking an active role in communication for the BOH and FOH when on the pass.
Wok chefs must possess excellent culinary skills, be able to work accurately and efficiently, and maintain a positive and professional approach at all times.
- Must have knowledge of Asian cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Be able to set up and stock stations according to menu requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
