About the RoleWe are looking for a Strategic Business Development Manager to join our growing sales team at Nexis Solutions. You will focus on new business acquisition across APAC, targeting a strategically important portfolio of named accounts in the financial services and professional services segments. You will be part of our highly collaborative and innovative Nexis Solutions business, supported closely by Product, Segment and senior leadership to ensure success in the region.
This is a full-time permanent role to be based in Sydney with a combined home/office-based arrangements to have flexible work-life balance.
Responsibilities- Growing the Nexis Solutions business across key APAC regions (Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney). Prospecting for new clients and developing new business opportunities within the Enterprise segment.
- Attending key events either as a speaker or to help generate leads across the region.
- Driving multi-product enterprise deals, selling generative AI-powered SaaS platform products to supercharge business intelligence.
- Leading the sales cycle from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closing, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience throughout.
- Following a value-based methodology to qualify opportunities and progress complex deals in a predictable and prescriptive manner.
- Providing due diligence / compliance solutions and information research tools. Leveraging domain knowledge of Risk & Compliance requirements and workflow to utilize our unique news, company, financial and screening data sets.
- Demonstrate successful experience in B2B outbound enterprise sales within commercially driven environments, be a true enterprise operator.
- Possess a background in technology sales and/or SaaS, comfortable in bringing technology to the marketplace.
- Be competent using outbound selling tools. Demonstrate and possess a refined sales methodology.
- Possess advanced sales skills (proposition development and consultative selling), focused on closing deals with a hunter mentality.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to build and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Have experience collaborating with internal teams (e.g. product, segment teams, pricing, solutions engineering) to tailor solutions that address client requirements.
- Preferably with proven experience working in or with the financial services and professional services space.
- Track record of dealing with CxO level executives and comfortable closing deals over $100k in value.
