Responsibilities- Assist the Restaurant Executive Chef to manage guest service, team performance and development, and service enhancements
- Oversee Sokyo sushi bar by supervising and leading by example
- Train and coach Jr Sous, Commis and Demi Chefs; guide employees to perform kitchen operations
- Ensure outlets comply with HACCP standards by conducting daily monitoring and walkthroughs of the back of house
- Review stocktake daily and ensure appropriate orders are placed and stock received
- Rostering, ordering, training, and related duties
- Jr Sous Chef / Sous Chef experience ideally with Japanese cuisine
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Strong understanding of produce, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to commit to 40 hours per week with varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
