The Opportunity

We are offering an experienced Lead Surveyor position within our Survey Team. This senior role involves working from our office and traveling to various project sites across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW.

You will have the chance to work on a variety of projects, including medium to large infrastructure, earthworks, and civil developments for residential, industrial, and commercial purposes.

Responsibilities

  1. Liaising with Project Managers and the Survey Manager to ensure project delivery.
  2. Verifying that on-site work meets survey specifications.
  3. Managing surveyors and assistants on site.
  4. Providing engineering survey support for design, construction, and monitoring.
  5. Managing machine control systems.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • A tertiary qualification in surveying, spatial science, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in paving within civil construction, especially with machine control systems.
  • Knowledge of current surveying techniques and project delivery experience.
  • Experience with TBC, 12D, and various surveying equipment.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Proven management, planning, and leadership skills.
  • UAV experience (REPL) is advantageous.
  • Excellent planning, organization, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
