SSA Group is seeking a surveyor to join our client team in Hervey Bay. Our client is a small family-owned company that is expanding their team. This role is perfect for a candidate who is interested in civil engineering and surveying.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment where your contributions will be genuinely valued. You'll be involved in various residential, commercial, and civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field surveys, including topographic, construction set-out, and as-constructed surveys.
  • Use various surveying equipment such as GNSS/GPS, total stations, and data loggers.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy of site works.
  • Process survey data and prepare detailed survey plans and reports using software such as AutoCAD, 12D, or similar.
  • Consult with engineers, site supervisors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to safety and quality procedures on-site.
About You
  • Degree or Diploma in Surveying or a related field
  • Proven experience in civil construction or engineering surveying (2+ years ideal)
  • Proficient in using modern survey equipment and software.
  • Strong diligence and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Current driver's licence (essential)
