The Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Building Surveyor to join our Launceston team to help our clients achieve safe and compliant buildings.

• Support our existing client base through sound technical knowledge and professionalism.
• Carry out regulatory assessments on all types of commercial projects.
• Carry out early phase compliance assessments and reporting through concept/schematic/design development.
• Assess project documentation against the deemed-to-satisfy and performance requirements of the Building Code of Australia, Act and Regs.
• Facilitate the preparation of Certificate of Likely Compliance, Occupancy Permits, Certificates and documentation.
• Manage multiple projects from beginning to end.
• Lead by example and assist the development of staff, through growth, education and support.
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders and provide technical assistance to our clients.
• Assist other staff members with building surveying and business development matters.
• Attend site inspections and design meetings as required.

• Licensed or nearly licensed as a Building Surveyor.
• 5+ years experience in a similar role is preferred; however we will consider all levels of experience.
• Degree or Post Graduate qualification in Building Surveying.
• Sound knowledge of current Building Act, Regulations and Building Code of Australia.
• Be well informed with Building Surveyors Code of Practice in Tasmania.
• Demonstrated time management and organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong writing skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Computer literate.
• Current Driver's licence.
