The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Launceston team to support our existing client base through sound technical knowledge and professionalism.

This role will involve carrying out regulatory assessments on all types of commercial projects, conducting early phase compliance assessments and reporting, and facilitating the preparation of certificates and documentation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting our existing client base with technical expertise and professionalism
• Carrying out regulatory assessments on commercial projects
• Conducting early phase compliance assessments and reporting
• Facilitating the preparation of certificates and documentation
• Managing multiple projects from beginning to end
• Leading by example and assisting the development of staff through growth, education, and support
• Liaising with stakeholders and providing technical assistance to our clients
• Assisting other staff members with building surveying and business development matters
• Attending site inspections and design meetings as required

What You Bring:

• Licensed or nearly licensed as a Building Surveyor
• 5+ years' experience in a similar role, although we will consider all levels of experience
• Degree or Postgraduate qualification in Building Surveying
• Sound knowledge of current Building Act, Regulations, and Building Code of Australia
• Well-informed about the Building Surveyors Code of Practice in Tasmania
• Demonstrated time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Strong writing skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Computer literate
• Current Driver's licence
