Gain hands-on experience in mining and technical disciplines at Greatland's Telfer gold-copper mine through a 12-week vacation student program with FIFO roster.
Your RoleHeres what you will be doing:
- Participate in a structured 12-week program with 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth
- Engage in site and team inductions
- Shadow experienced professionals across various disciplines
- Perform hands-on technical tasks related to your field
- Receive personal mentoring and career guidance
- Attend workshops on environmental responsibility, professional development, and innovation
- Deliver a final presentation summarizing your learning
The company is looking for:
- Motivated, curious students enrolled in a relevant bachelors or masters degree
- Australian permanent residents or holders of valid working rights in Australia
- Students studying disciplines including Geology, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Surveying, Health & Safety, Occupational Hygiene, Geotechnical Engineering, or Environmental Science
- Fly-in fly-out (FIFO) arrangement from Perth
- Access to onsite amenities including gym, pool, movie room, driving range, and modern dining facilities
- Certificate of completion
- Work alongside industry professionals to develop technical and professional skills
- Personal mentoring and career guidance
- Workshops covering environmental responsibility, professional development, and innovation
