Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in a 12-week paid summer vacation program across multiple mining sites in Western Australia and Alaska
  • Gain practical, hands-on experience in mining operations including Open Pit, Underground, and Exploration methods
  • Work as an integral team member contributing to Northern Star's projects and success
  • Choose between Fly-in, Fly-out (FIFO) or residential placements
  • Learn from industry-leading mining experts through professional mentoring
About You

The company is looking for:

  • Second or penultimate year students studying Environmental Science
  • Keen interest in pursuing a career in the mining industry
  • Ability to meet pre-employment criteria, including medical, drug and alcohol screening, right to work, and valid Australian national police clearance
  • Commitment to Northern Star's STARR Core Values: Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Respect, and Results
