Ready to start your mining career with Northern Star's 2025/26 Summer Vacation Program offering hands-on experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
Your RoleKey responsibilities include:
- Participate in a 12-week paid Vacation Program across multiple mining sites in Western Australia and Alaska
- Gain practical, hands-on experience in real-life mining scenarios
- Choose placements in Open Pit, Underground, or Exploration mining methods
- Work as an integral part of the team contributing to Northern Star's projects
- Uphold Northern Star's STARR Core Values: Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Respect, and Results
The company is looking for:
- Second or penultimate year students studying Geotechnical Engineering
- Keen interest in pursuing a career in the mining industry
- Ability to meet pre-employment criteria, including medical, drug and alcohol screening, right to work, and valid Australian national police clearance
- Paid practical work experience
- Residential and Fly-in, Fly-out (FIFO) placement options
- Opportunities for ongoing employment throughout the year
