About the role:

We are looking for a qualified and hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Tradesperson

to join our maintenance team in Eastern Creek on a full-time basis.

A hands-on role responsible for keeping automated sortation systems and freight handling equipment running efficiently across our depots. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and continuous system improvements, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth operations.

Benefits:

• Monday to Friday 7:30AM – 3:30PM

• Overtime if required

• High priority to safety and keeping our team members safe

• All PPE and uniforms are provided

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair sortation and freight handling systems

• Respond rapidly to mechanical faults or breakdowns

• Follow preventative and predictive maintenance schedules

• Use MEX (computerised maintenance system) to manage tasks

• Keep tools, parts, and equipment organised and safe

• Work collaboratively with depot operations teams

• Support improvement initiatives for systems and procedures

Certificates:

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III Engineering – Mechanical)- essential

Desirable Experience

• Conveyor systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics

• Basic understanding of PLCs, VSDs, and SCADA systems

• Exposure to freight and logistics operations (highly regarded)

Safety & Compliance

• Actively promote and model safe work practices

• Adhere to OHS legislation and Team Global Express policies

• Participate in inspections, audits, and incident investigations

• Ensure ongoing safety training and equipment checks
