ABOUT GEMCO
Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 20% of the world's manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 4:3 Monday to Thursday roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns. Residential option to live on Groote Eylandt considered.
As the Specialist Improvement, you will be responsible for supporting improvement delivery across the value chain by providing analysis, insight and communication with multiple stakeholders. You will contribute to capability uplift across site, help maintain improvement tools and systems, and work closely with teams to embed data-enabled decision-making and improvement practices.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
- Analyse and visualise operational data to support decision-making and improvement
- Support improvement portfolio tracking, diagnostics and benefit realisation
- Coach teams in improvement tools and problem-solving techniques
- Assist with valuations for improvement initiatives
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Prior experience in improvement programs, analytics or project support within mining or heavy industry
- Strong analytical and data visualisation skills (Power BI preferred)
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise way
- Ability to understand and analyse performance of key value levers across the value chain
- Experience working across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
- Some commercial acumen preferred
Qualifications for this position are:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Finance, Data/Analytics)
- Current open Driver's Licence
