Overview

Our public sector client is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension, based in the Perth CBD.


The role provides consultancy, advisory and transactional services to the Corporation on a diverse range of people management matters and supports the Manager, Human Resources, to deliver people services, workforce planning and change projects. The position coordinates recruitment, performance management and other people processes across the Corporation.



Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes in accordance with Government policy and legislation.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate people strategies, policies, and practices.
  • Provide consultancy and advisory services on people management matters by interpreting awards, agreements, and relevant legislation.
  • Coordinate the annual performance development and management process, including providing training and guidance.
  • Manage and prepare employment contracts.
  • Lead Corporation-wide learning and development initiatives, including managing the learning management software (ELMO).
  • Assist in the management of work health and safety (WHS) requirements and the delivery of change management processes.
  • Experience in a wide range of HR functions, including workforce planning and developing HR strategies, policies, and systems.
  • Proven ability to provide HR consultancy based on knowledge of contemporary HR management practices, trends, and legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with stakeholders.
  • Highly developed report writing, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Progress towards or completion of a relevant tertiary qualification in human resource management or industrial relations.
  • Experience using Dayforce Pay, the Corporation's HR Information System.
