We have an excellent opportunity foran Accounting Officerto join ourBusiness Advisoryteam. This is a part-time, permanent position based in our Canberra office.

What will your typical week look like?

  • Assist in preparing business advice and/or producing complex special purpose reports for clients.
  • Prepare financial statements, reconciliations and tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts and a range of individual businesses.
  • Liaising with various providers and statutory authorities on behalf of clients.
  • For more senior candidates: Delegate and review work of junior team members, providing coaching and support to ensure correct accounting and taxation standards are applied.

Let's talk about you

  • You have an interest OR prior experience working in the Public Practise sector.
  • A relevant degree or diploma is desirable, but not mandatory.
  • A CA or CPA qualification is an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in excel with cloud accounting products i.e. Xero, MYOB) is an advantage, but not mandatory.
