Key Responsibilities:Development of Sales
- Capably demonstrate company products and systems.
- Qualify potential new customers (if required); using needs-based approach to selling.
- When required, assist existing customers improve efficiency of their paint shop.
- Maintain professional and responsive relationships with existing and new customers.
- Conduct trade information nights, demonstrations, and local TAFE training modules.
- Maintain a professional and effective relationship with distributors through:
- Regular meetings with branch personnel and sales staff
- Good communication and responsible follow-up
Technical Support
- Provide technical and applications expertise in repair systems.
- Provide customers with product knowledge and problem solutions across premium and trade markets.
- Install equipment such as mixing machines and Mixit PCs for all premium and trade markets.
- Provide competitor information to management.
- Support the development of local colours through the regular submission of colour spray outs, and colour panels.
Administration & Expense Management
- Act responsibly in the use of all company assets.
- Complete administrative activities on a timely and accurate basis.
- Plan work, and work to the plan.
- Provide periodic reports as needed on a timely basis.
Other
- Help other salespeople when reasonably requested.
- Attend company meetings and similar activities.
- Hands-on experiences, especially from an Auto Body Technician/Panel Beater background.
- Understanding of Vehicle Refinishing market trends, competitors, and opportunities.
- Proven expertise in providing technical support, qualifying new customers, and conducting Panel shop visits.
- A keen eye for detail, especially when it comes to technical aspects and their applications, specifications, procedures, and role-specific requirements.
- Effective customer relationship management skills.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Time and territory management skills.
- Results-oriented mindset.
