We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented System Administrator to join our team. In this office-based role, you will be responsible for the configuration and maintenance of GLiNTECH's internal infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on user support and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our technical environment. Your contributions will be essential in supporting our employees and driving business outcomes through effective management of cloud-based office systems.

About the role:

As a System Administrator, you will:

  • Handle internal help desk operations, including troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance with minimal supervision..
  • Configure and manage IT infrastructure (hardware, software, operating systems) across cloud, and office environments.
  • Support the network infrastructure by assisting with router and switch configurations (as needed) and addressing general office network and Wi-Fi issues..
  • Create and configure virtual and physical storage solutions as needed, and monitor backup systems.
  • Configure and support PostgreSQL databases.
  • Oversee DNS, email services, and user provisioning (onboarding/offboarding, access, equipment setup).
  • Take ownership of discrete IT projects or components, delivering with minimal oversight.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge base and documentation of systems and procedures.
  • Participate in passive, after-hours monitoring and respond to emergency IT issues when required.

About you:

  • Good understanding of networking, databases, data cloud storage, and backup systems.
  • Experience with cloud and on-prem IT environments.
  • Familiarity with DNS and email systems.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting/configuring Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
  • A proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to documentation and process improvement.

Must have:

  • 1–2 years of proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT support/helpdesk role.
  • A degree in IT and CCNA certification, familiarity with Atlassian applications highly regarded.
  • Full-time work rights in Australia.

Our Hiring Process:

After being shortlisted, you will receive a phone call so we can get to know you beyond your application. If you are successful to go to the next stage, you will be invited to attend a Zoom interview with HR and the Hiring Manager.

In this interview we will share our company vision, culture and team dynamics. We will chat about the position, opportunities for growth and hear from you more about your experiences and skills, why you are a good fit for this role etc. If we are all happy to progress to next stage, you will then have the opportunity for a 2nd interview.

This 2nd interview is about the technical aspects of the role and your experience. A team member, the Hiring Manager and a Director will attend this meeting and if successful, an employment offer will be made within 72 hours.
