Advanced Mobile IT is the leading provider of field and vehicle based mobile computer solutions in Australia within the Emergency Services, Utilities, Transport & Logistics and Warehousing industries.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT System Administrator to provide technical and business support for the day-to-day operations of our IT systems. This role is responsible for ensuring that critical infrastructure, applications and services are reliable, secure and performing at their best. You'll play a key role in both BAU support and project initiatives, driving improvements and contributing to a strong IT capability across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical administration, leadership and support for IT systems and infrastructure
- Manage, monitor, and report on system performance, availability and security
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve issues across hardware, software and networks
- Contribute to change management, problem management and service transition processes
- Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to provide effective IT support and advice
- Implement and maintain security controls, access rights and compliance documentation
- Support knowledge sharing and capability building across the IT team
- Identify risks, trends and opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness
Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years' experience in L2 IT support or system administration
- Proven experience supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory and virtualisation platforms (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Hands-on knowledge of networking (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks
- Experience with Service Desk/Ticketing systems
- Demonstrated experience with security administration, problem management and change management
