We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as an Underwriting Support Specialist. In this role, you'll help Members better manage their workshop risks while supporting our underwriting team with accurate and timely data.

Role Purpose

The Underwriting Support Specialist is responsible for collecting and verifying workshop risk data from Members, ensuring it is complete, accurate, and centrally maintained. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to influence data quality and support underwriting decisions.

Key Accountabilities

Data Collection

• Gather workshop risk data, including responses to risk attributes and supporting photos.
• Centralise existing data into a single, accessible reference point.
• Ensure all data collection tasks are completed within agreed timeframes.
  
  

Data Verification

• Validate the accuracy and completeness of collected data.
• Provide guidance and clarification to stakeholders as needed.
  
  

Stakeholder Influence

• Collaborate with Sales team members and Members to maintain and verify risk data.
• Proactively coordinate the collection of required information.
  
  

Underwriting Support

• Deliver accurate risk data to strengthen underwriting capability.
• Ensure Underwriting has timely access to data for efficient decision-making.
• Conduct desktop assessments of workshop risks.
  
  

Skills, Knowledge And Attributes

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Innovative and proactive approach to process improvement.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  
  

Experience

• Experience in a phone-based service role.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams to achieve shared goals.
• Familiarity with documenting processes and adhering to procedures.
